My cooking for the BSBP, March 2012

Hello my dears,

today's the day - for me the second time to be part of this great exchange: today's Bead Soup Blog Party Day! 384 people signed up for the party, and I was one of the lucky 200, who has been drawn to take part of it.

This time I had the great honour to be paired with Joanne Tinley. Jo is a great jewellery designer, a contributor to the Beads and Beyond magazine and also runs various jewellery workshops. Have you recently seen the poppy headpins and what she've made with them for the poppy challenge? Is'nt that pendant absolutely charming?

For the exchange, Jo first asks me which kind of materials, I'm comfortable with and which ones not. I told her, I've never worked with copper before, and like try to. And - Ta Dah - she really sent me copper. But such a cute piece of copper - have you seen it? Here's once a again a quick shot, of what I've received:from her:

I've got a carved heart of a variscite, some colour fitting smoky quartz beads:, some pale green freshwater pearls and copper beads, a harmonizing piece of olivine silk ribbon and this charming copper owl clasp!

What I did'nt know at that time: it's extremely hard to find wonderful and extraordinary copper components in Austria or Germany! So what to do? Wire wrapping seems to be the only solution....

So would you like to join the steps to create my

"Love, Peace and Happiness" - jewellery set ?

1st: looking for some matching glass rods.....

2nd: blowing some contrast shards for decorating.....

3rd: do a little wire wrapping.....

4th: looking for some alternative materials.....

found on the way through the blogs, here on Connys blog

5th: realize a little "happy"-flower with harmonizing wool

6th: join the delicate silk ribbon with some leather

7th: once again - do a little wire wrapping .... ;0)

8th: once again - do a little wire wrapping....... ;0)))............ no wrapping photo......;0)

9th: having no liver of sulfur at home - so doing oxidation in an alternative way. (with hard boiled eggs)...... but

10th: ... but ... forget to keep it on a save place .... ;0)))

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND ANYWAY...................here it is:
