Bead Soup Blog Party, September 2011

Heute ist es so weit - Bead Soup Blog Party - Tag!

Today's the day - Blog Party time! ;0)))

Every participant was paired up with another jewelry designer and tasked with sending the following:

a focal bead
a special clasp
and some coordinating spacers or beads

And every BSBP-Partner has to create some pretty thing with-it, using the focal and the clasp was mandatory.

Here's once again the beautiful party set, I got from my lovely partner Marina from Savon Feutre

BSBP Sept 2011 - Party Pack from Marina

I suddenly dreamed of an oriental bling-bling - for the optimal oriental look I mixed the set with some orange blister pearls with iridescent luster, burgundy miyukis, some brass spacers, violet glassbeads and golden imitation pearls with matt finish.

- Ready for a little bit bling-bling? ;0)))))) Here it is:

And if you like it a bit less glamorous, you can seperate the middle strand - just opening the springring-clasps.

Und so sieht es dann aus - And that's how it looks like without it:

And later, Marina send me some of her felt beads too - it was a great challenge for me. I never worked with felt before.

Also - was tun damit....?

So - what to do with it? Marina makes such little treasures with it - I know,  I can't keep up with that. But I liked to give it a chance.... ;0) Here's my felt experiment:

Altogether I have a lot of fun - even in some moments when I thought: "Why in the hell, did you do that?" ;0) I think it looks quite pretty, or not? Next timit there will be a participant limit of 200, but I think I will give it a new shot.

And - did you like it and want to see more of BSBP? Then follow this link and taste all the other partners: http://lorianderson-beadsoupblogparty.blogspot.com/

Thanks for visiting!
Lovely greetings, Michi

I really would not know where to begin with a felt bead but think you have done your self proud, it is very Royal looking!
